Sauzet is located on a limestone plateau. It means “saussaieé” in Occitan: it is a site where willows are planted. But it also means “a merging of pebbles” in Latin. The hospital is located in the south of the village reminds us that Sauzet was from the Middle Ages an important passage on the road to Cahors to Tournon and to Agen.
