Time to harvest!

Vineyard Rachel By Rachel, the 31 May 2018

Let's do it! On this sunny morning, they are many to gather for the traditional harvest period.

It is an unforgettable experience, that I would like to share with you. A return to nature: harvesting grapes that will be used to make wine.

For many months, vine has been the focus of attention. First pruning, then cleaning, weeding and finally harvesting, a tradition that has existed for generations and bring families, friends and neighbours together for some time. It is precise and hard work, but authentic.

The harvest must be done as soon as possible: the pickers fill their basket and empty it in the press, which will crush the grapes, but the timeline is short! It is important for the quality of the wine that the grapes are picked when ripe.

And if the atmosphere is good, they say that the wine will be better! We cultivate conviviality and good mood while doing our tasks throughout the day.

For some time, a special attention will be paid to the tank.

At the end of the harvest, comes the traditional meal... A real feast! Friends and neighbours are comforting themselves over a good meal and a glass of wine!

I can't wait for next year!
