Walk along the Lot river bank!

In the past, draught horses used to walk along the banks to pull boats…As of today as Mother Nature took her rights on the banks, those towpaths have now been adapted to charming walking and hiking roads which enable you to fully enjoy the fresh and invigorating air of the river.

This road is also the one that links by foot the villages of Albas and Luzech. This large trail of 5 kilometres long, following the twisty river Lot, can be found to be not only rocky at times, but also grassy, with a lot of shade ; making it ideal for a family outing or even biking

  • Start from Albas : An adapted trail on the right side of the bank, following the Lot river.
  • Start from Luzech

- By foot : by the exit of the bridge of Albas, take the stairs down on your right.

- By bike : cycle by the bridge towards Albas, take the first exit on your right, then once more, take the first exit on your right where you’ll find the sign « accès pompier ».
